Jonquils for Jax, The Rousseaus #1 by Katy Regnery
Date of Publication: August 5, 2016
Did you fall in love with The English Brothers? Were you hot for the Winslows? Katy Regnery’s New York Times bestselling Blueberry Lane series continues with The Rousseau siblings in Summer 2016!
Jacqueline “Jax” Rousseau is vivacious, rich, smart and beautiful…but that doesn’t mean
she’s lucky in love: she’s dated doctors, lawyers, actors and politicians who’ve all managed to end up disappointing her. In fact, she’s on a self-imposed hiatus from love when she has an unpleasant run-in with her neighbor’s gorgeous new landscaper, Gardener Lenox. Jax is not accustomed to gruff, ill-mannered men that can’t be charmed, but when he saves her skin, she realizes that something about Gard intrigues her…and if she can find her way through the armor that surrounds his heart, she might finally find a love that won’t let her down.
I absolutely adore the Blueberry Lane Series, I love how there is different series in this series. I have a few favorites from each series. Jonquils for Jax has got to be a front-runner for the overall favorite of the series.
The Rousseau Series has started off beautifully!!
Jax.. She is so sweet and hasn’t let the snobbish ways of her mother influence her decisions, she wants what she wants and makes her own mind up. I love how her decision was instantaneous when her mom called. it was a beautiful thing to see. Her not even caring about Gard’s revelation, it didn’t faze her. That was amazing! What she did in the bar had tears streaming down my face I laughed that hard!!! It was such a funny scene yet it showed how protective she was.
Gard. Oh SWOON!! He was so sweet and wonderful. His past has made him guarded, along with being retired from the police force due to being injured. He now works as a Gardener for Jax’s neighbor. The first time Gard and Jax meet is unforgettable for them both, but it showed us how gentlemanly Gard was. As their relationship grows so does Gard’s doubt’s of being able to protect Jax. I loved that we got to see the vulnerable side to this rugged man. It added so much more to his sexiness.
The side characters were great. I’m loving Mad and can’t wait for her book.
JC seems like someone who can make a girl swoon.
It was great to see Skye and Daisy again.
I really did love this book!!! Thank you Katy for yet another amazing book!

About Katy Regnery
Katy Regnery, award-winning and Amazon bestselling author, started her writing career by enrolling in a short story class in January 2012. One year later, she signed her first contract for a winter romance entitled By Proxy.
