She is a corporate accountant. Her life is full of structure, routine, and organization. Settled, comfortable, and content, Caroline Milton loves knowing what to expect every minute of every day. More importantly, she loves knowing her life is what she pictures it to be and not what she came from.
He is the Catawba Hellions VP and a wild one, refusing to be tamed. His motto—’hit it, get it, and go; no repeats’ where women are concerned—guarantees a new woman in his bed nightly. His life, though, suddenly tilts on its axis when his wild days come barreling back with a major responsibility. Suddenly, Drexel ‘Rex’ Crews finds he has a real reason to settle down.
When a situation quickly spins out of control at work for Caroline, she reaches out to the one group she least expected to find herself dependent upon—the Hellions Motorcycle Club. Asked as a personal favor from Doll to protect her best friend, Rex can’t refuse.
Protecting Caroline was supposed to be an innocent task. However, the attraction from their first meeting is a fire burning strong inside of them both. Neither can deny the pull, despite the fact that they come from different worlds.
Can Rex show Caroline the safety and security of the MC? Can Caroline tame the wild beast inside of Rex? Can their innocent ride become a journey to long lasting love?
What happens when the past comes calling? These characters are about to find out. One finds something that changes his entire life, and one has past skeletons in her closet, that make an unwanted appearance. Get comfortable, because this is one Ride that you won’t want to miss. With everything that Caroline has to deal with she found something. Special with Rex. It was beautiful and rough at the same time. They both had choices to make, choices that affect everything.
These characters were strong, not in a way that makes them invisible, but in a way that make them real. Made them open their eyes and see things they might not have before.
Rex changed the most, he grew up, and changed so much fromfrom the first book. Watching him from book one to now, you see every little change he made and respect him so much for that. Ya, he can be a pig, but in the end that was part of his charm.
This story started in other books and we get a small recap, and it all makes it fresh. We learn more of what’s going on, and really get into the story, the ride these two embark on. My heart was so full by the end of this book I wasn’t sure how to go on to the next book.
It was awesome seeing the other characters more and getting another look at how things progressed.
Overall, this has been my favorite of the series so far. These two main characters have these internal struggles that are different from the other characters, and I felt a connection with them. 5stars. #2OCCJD
