Gemma’s REVIEW

Burn with me was a captivating read that swept me away from the first moment I started reading it. There was a lot of mystery in it that had me questioning a lot about what was going to happen. I really enjoyed this story and I found that it took me on a roller coaster of emotions throughout it. There was a lot that happened throughout the story that left me surprised and I didn’t see it coming. This is one of the reasons why I enjoyed the book so much.

Caleb was a complete mystery to me at the start and he had me absolutely fascinated. I love the passion that he has with his artwork and the way that he helps Amber through a trauma she experiences. My heart breaks for the pain he has had to endure throughout his life and the guilt that he carries around with him everyday.

Amber is a feisty character that is immediately intrigued by her neighbour. I really enjoy the passion that she has for dancing and the way that she is carefree with a lot of things in life. I absolutely love the way that she doesn’t take any shit from anyone and doesn’t hold back what she thinks. She made me laugh at times with some of the things that she came up with and some of the things that she would say. I felt for her so many times during the book.

Burn with me is about Amber moving to Portland and meeting her neighbour Caleb who is holding onto a painful past. Burn with me sees the two of them developing a relationship together while trying to move on from the heartache they experience.

Burn with me was an emotional read that was written so well that I felt everything that the characters were experiencing. I really enjoyed the characters and the passion that they both had for art and dancing. There was a lot of mystery in the book that had me hooked from the start. I loved Caleb and the mysterious way about him and my heart broke when we heard of his tragic past. I enjoyed the secondary characters and especially loved Caleb’s best friend. Amber and Caleb were perfect for each other and the chemistry between them were of the chart. Anyone looking for a book that had a lot of emotion, angst and love in it, this book is for them..

Rachael Tonks is a new to the scene author with a love of books, and a
particular love of the romance genre. As a child Rachael could always be
found with her head in a book, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 2015
when Rachael’s love of books really took over. Reading spurred on her
desires to put pen to paper, and write down the story of the characters
screaming for their story to be told. Starting out her career with a new adult
romance novel, she is currently working on her fourth novel which she
plans to release early-2017. Rachael lives in the steely suburb of Sheffield,
in the north of England with her husband, 3 beautiful children and her 2
crazy dogs. She loves nothing more reading with a good cup of tea and is
self-proclaimed chocoholic!
