When you live in a place where “turbo speed” internet is a slight step above dial-up, men carry on nine-year beard-growing challenges out of stubborn pride, and your brothers do things like nail all your panties to the outside of your cabin just for funsies, you tend to be a little crazy. You can call it a “locational” hazard, if you will.
That’s Tomahawk for you.
We rank people based on just how crazy they are. And the four craziest families in town are called the Wild Ones.
I’m on the bottom tier of those, so technically I’m not as crazy as the other Wild Ones. In fact, if it wasn’t for my brothers and their endless antics, I wouldn’t be considered a Wild One at all. Ahem. Sure. We’ll go with that.
Anyway, I have a best friend who endures it all with me. Benson Nolans is my one, constant favorite person.
Without him, I’d probably go really crazy, and not the fun kind. It’d be ridiculous, after three years of a flawless friendship, to mess that all up by falling for him.
I mean, even if we did get a little too close one night, it’d be reckless endangerment. Even if we did suddenly feel the chemistry that’s always been there and stop toeing the line, it’d be a foolish risk to take.
It’d be stupid to start hoping a really fun, but completely irrational, night with zero inhibitions might accidentally happen.
*Completely, 100% crazy
THIS books is what romcom romance should be! Omg I loved every second to it. There were a few times I wanted to savor the whole thing but when I would put it down, I couldn’t stop thinking about it and kept going until I was done.
I laughed my butt off at so many things that happen in this book. From the start of the boook, with the chapter headers and rules, to each and every wild one, to the setting of Tomahawk. BB Guns, fire works, bed frames, beards and water cannons, those will never been the same to me after reading this book.
All the characters are crazier then you could imagine! I mean, really crazy, but as you read on, as a reader; you will wish you could be just as crazy!
Benson was the perfect lead. He didn’t care what people thought about him and just went with the flow. He fell in love with Liah, and when this man finds love, he wasn’t going to let it go too easily. Lilah was one tough chick. She was one of the youngest wild ones and I loved every crazy thought that was in her head. She had this ability to make you connect with it only her, but everyone around her because she was so expressive.
This book has so many secondary characters that need to have a story told. I personally can’t wait for Lilahs brothers to get their books. They are the craziest of the whole bunch. That being said, we got to see a lot of wild ones, but not see their true crazy shine; I can only guess at the books go on, things will get crazier.
The plot is very laid back and funny, but has heart to it. It’s a friends to lovers type story, but at the same time it’s so much more. You will laugh your butt off the whole time you read this book. From climbing up trees to shooting water cannons this book ranges in the crazy. The way of the Tomahawk is one that I wish that I could embrace because it is that flipping awesome! They make no apologies for who they are, and I loved every second of the madnIess.
Overall, I can’t even properly review this book because It would ruin the experience for all the other readers. If you are looking for a book to make you laugh late into the night, then read this book! I I can guarantee you will have no regrets! This is a book I plan to read over and over. 5+ stars #2OCCJD
