Mondays with You - about the book

mondayswithyou High-school teacher West Connors struggled to put the pieces of his heart back together after the sudden departure of his best friend, Blake Thomas, from his life ten years ago. While loves have come and gone, West has never quite filled the hole in his heart Blake left behind.

Blake Thomas gets things done. As a handler for one of the top political fixers in the business, he focuses on work, friends, and one-night stands. He’s fooled himself into thinking he’s conquered the demons of his past until he runs into the best friend he was forced to leave behind when he was sixteen.

When their jobs force them into a fake relationship, Blake learns something about his childhood best friend and eventually about himself.

As they try to repair their damaged friendship, they find that moving forward can sometimes lead you back home.

Jessica’s Review

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m not really huge in MM but when I already love the character, in a series I am totally ok with them. I have been following this author from the start of her writing and I was so excited to see her do something different.

West knows who he is and I love his confidence and acceptance and him self; but he is also scared.. I can’t go into too many detail on that aspect but my heart broke for him. He was scared to lose his best friend and the love of his life.

Blake was all man! We know Blake from Sunday Love and I totally loved him in that book but seeing him in this book totally made my heart beat faster.

There is so much going on with this book that no matter what I say will do it justice. This is a friendship that turns into more, MM, mystery, funny, sexy, just everything wrapped up in this amazing bow that the author has presented to us readers. The packing of this book was so perfect. It wasn’t to fast, they didn’t jump right into love and HEA. They had to work for it. They both deserved it and in the end, it was worth the crazy ride.

I’ve read all of this author’s books and she blew me out of the water with this one. Going in I knew it was going to be MM but I didn’t even bother reading the description because I’m a stalker of this author and want to read all her words. That being said, she did something so beautiful with this book that saying it’s amazing will not even come close. She connects us with these characters but she also makes us question what’s going on, what’s going to happen next and even; what am I reading.

This book is so much more the. Your typical man meets man, drama ensures, men fall in love novel. There’s such absence of family and bonds that you get so many feeling that your heart won’t know what to do with them.

This is KJ Lewis’s first M/M books and she blew it out of the park. Going in I had high expectations because I know how amazing she writes but this book surpassed any hopes I had. I can’t wait to see what she will write next. 5 stars #2OCCJD
