I needed to get out of town but didn’t have a car.
He had nowhere to go and offered to drive.
Forty-eight hours was all we were given.
A lifetime wouldn’t have been enough.
She had something of mine.
And I was determined to get it back.
I thought it was just my car she’d stolen.
Oh my! This book was a whirlwind. Between Talon’s part, Maggie’s past and everything I between, this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I went in because of the blurb and the idea of running away together (in a way) but what this story holds is so much more. The mystery, the love, the anger, the secrets…. all of it hooked me.
Maggie and Talon were strangers but in the course of a few days, as a reader I was able to feel that connection, feel the fear they both had of what was to come. Watching it play out made me laugh, gave me tears, and made my head spin. I should know by now that this author was going to play on my emotions and deliver a spell binding journey for these characters.
My only complaint is that somethings were a little predictable. It might just be me and my ability to jump on the littlest thing and connect the dots, but even with that I found my self engrossed and couldn’t put it down. The author has such an amazing talent at weaving these story’s that are addictive and emotional but at the same time they are the perfect mix of happy and sad. I can’t wait for what will come next. 4/4.5 Stars #2OCCJD
She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
