She’s an English Rose and I’m about to be a thorn in her
side.
She doesn’t belong here. From the moment she steps foot in
Rosewood High— it’s clear she must go.
And I’ll use my power to get rid of her. The betrayal I’m
reminded of each time our eyes lock must end.
She’s a lost rich girl, trying to recover from the death of her
parents. But none of that is my concern.
This is my life. My rules. My senior year. What I say goes.
And I say she’s done.
Until she proves me wrong…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

This was an angst-filled read that is one of my favourite genres at the moment. High school bully romances are one of my favourite reads and this story ticked all of the boxes for this genre. I really enjoyed the emotions that were written in this story and the tension between the two main characters.

I really felt for the heroine of the story and the way that Amalie was treated by her classmates in the story despite not doing anything to them. But I really admired the way she persevered throughout the story and saw the real Jake in the story despite the front he put on to others.

Jake was the hero of the story and did not have the easiest life resulting in him becoming a tough guy that acted that he didn’t care about anything. I really enjoyed the way readers got to see the softer side to him.

I really enjoyed the writing of this story and the way that the author built this story. I’m excited to read what happens next in book 2 of this new series.
